Haku Bar

Haku in Hawaiian is defined as to compose, invent, put in order, or arrange. We offer Haku Bar as a way to gift your guests with the opportunity to create their own flower lei or Lei Poʻo adornments to wear as a festive option to your celebration. Your guest will smile and laugh in delight as they create and have a mini Hula lesson too!

Hawaiʻi Hula Company - Event Entertainment

Hula and/or Tahitian Dancers:

  • Audience participation ending option: Volunteers have a Mini Hula lesson on or off stage
  • We do require live musicians to accompany our Hula and Tahitian dancers (please see below)
  • Hula: minimum of 1 musician, Tahitian: minimum of 2 musicians (including drumming musician)

Hawaiian Musicians:

  • Traditional Hawaiian music, Contemporary Hawaiian music, Island style music
  • All Musicians sing as well as play musical instrument (Ukulele, Guitar, Bass, Drums)
  • A duo or trio is recommended to achieve the full sound of Hawaiian music, incorporating vocal & instrumental harmonies

Fire Knife Dancers and Live Polyneisan Drummers:

  • Our Fire dancers have been trained traditionally and perform authentic Polynesian Fire knife
  • An authentic Fire knife performance requires at least 1 live Polynesian drummer
  • 15 minute booking time (actual performance time depends upon amount of fire knife dancers)

Haku Bar:

  • A station at your event like a bar, where your guests can come to make their own Hawaiin adornments
  • Flower Lei
  • Lei Poʻo (Flower crowns)
  • Flower rosettes
  • Mini Hula lesson for participants
  • Hula station also available

Extras:

  • Sound system with sound Tech
  • Stage Lights with set up
  • Hawaiian Wedding Officiant
